EU-funded SmartAgrihubs
Robovision is proud to be chosen as Flagship Innovation Experiment coordinator for the SmartAgriHubs Project. SmartAgrihubs is a EUR 20 million EU-funded project under the Horizon 2020 Instrument. It brings together a group of over 160 partners across the EU-based agri-food sector. The goal of SmartAgrihubs is to foster digitisation of the agricultural sector based on excellent and sustainability.
Robovision is developing a high-tech ecosystem in agriculture with the following distinguished partners:
- Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (imec): world-reknowned hub of nano-electronics and digital technolgies based in Leuven, Belgium
- ILVO: Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food
- Exobotic: leader in provision of state-of-the-art autonomous robotic solutions
- Ghent University (UGent): public-research university located in Ghent, Belgium
- Wageningen University (WUR): public university in Wageningen, Netherlands, specialising in technical and engineering subjects and an important center for life sciences and agricultural research.
Agricultural Applications of AI and Robotics
Recent investments of both Belgium and the Netherlands in WUR will drastically transform farming methods. IMEC has just established a new branch in Wageningen, making Wageningen University the new digital hub for food and agriculture. The use of AI will be a massive shift to make agriculture more efficient and sustainable to increase the quality and quantity of global food production.
SmartAgriHubS Deliverables
