Research Data Science Engineer

Your role

You will become a part of the research team reporting to the CTO. Based on the direction of our company vision and the product team, you will help investigate the state-of-the-art in computer vision, create proof of concepts and thoroughly evaluate them on real world industrial applications. The research team’s output will help drive the product roadmap.

Your tasks

• Evaluate state of the art algorithms

• Research in depth, the true value of new technologies

• Come up with great ideas to advance the Robovision AI product

• Regularly organise knowledge transfer sessions

• Take up responsibility of a machine learning space and become an expert in it

• Help drive the Data Science Community

Technical competences:

• Strong mathematical background.

• Proficient in a number of programming languages: Python (must have), C/C++.

• You can understand complex and abstract scientific literature and implement their concepts.

• Practical machine learning experience is a must-have (Tensorflow, Pytorch, ...).

• Knowledge about databases (postgreSQL, mySQL,...) and containerized environments (docker, kubernetes,...) is a plus.
  

Education & Experience:

• Master/PhD in Engineering/Science or similar based upon experience

• You followed at least one course in the domain of Machine Learning (machine learning, artificial intelligence, neural networks, …).
