Reason for the role
The agritech department of Robovision is responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining state of the art AI solutions to our partners and B2B clients in the field of agriculture robotics.
A solution is built up by the following building blocks:
the Robovision platform as the core AI lifecycle management system,
(re)trainable AI model perform analysis and provide feedback on ongoing basis,
software customization and highly specialized pre- and postprocessing to bridge the gap between the AI models and the robotics reality, and
optical (cameras, lighting) and computational (edge devices, servers, cloud) IT infrastructure.
Tasks and responsibilities
From idea to roll out, the engineer will collaborate with his/her solution team as cross-functional team member.
Collecting and translating solution requirements into stable vision AI solutions, across their lifecycle. We primarily work with Python and have a strong focus on scalability and maintainability for all our software.
Keep track of the state of the art in software development, vision systems, and computer vision algorithms.

A master degree in computer science, or related fields
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to identify customer value and separate wants from needs
You are flexible and can work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
You are outcome-oriented, curious and dedicated to learning new things
English proficiency
Proficient with Python, high performing programming languages such as C++ are a plus.
Optional: knowledge of optical technology (cameras, lighting, …)
Optional: interest in IT infrastructure to enable continuous delivery
Optional: experience with data science, AI, industrial automation and/or computer vision is a plus.
