Solution Test Engineer

As a Solution Test Engineer, you will be involved in the development of custom projects based on our Robovision AI platform. You will join our existing Robovision QA team and will be the QA engineer in one of our Solution Delivery teams, assisting the team in delivering high quality software to our customers.

What will you do?

• Assisting the team in creating and maintaining a structured and reusable test approach, which can easily show scope and coverage to Product Managers and Project Managers

• Exercising a Risk-Based Business Driven test approach

• Understand the needs and expectations of the Solution Delivery customers and assure these are reflected in your test requirements

• Based on requirements designing, scripting, and executing manual tests

• Assuring a clear and understandable test case structure, making it easy to maintain your tests and to communicate your test scope

• Collaborating actively with the automation team to propose good candidate test cases for automation

• Generate clear and understandable test reports and/or dashboards (including both manual and automation test cases)

• Analyzing and investigating execution failures leading to test case updates or bug reports

• Give realistic estimates for analysis, design & execution time and follow-up so that it becomes possible to generate a tight but executable test schedule

• Setting-up your test environment, being able to deploy a new release on this environment so that you have at all times an operational environment

• Assisting the Solution Delivery team in the Quality Journey both on testing practices as on quality processes to assure a delivery that answers the customers need

Who are you?

• Good team player, able to work independently where and when required

• Good communication (written & verbally) in English

• At least 3 years of experience in testing and test coordination of a web based application.

• Understanding and interest in API/WebService testing and/or UI test automation is a plus

• Ideally, insight and experience in non-functional testing such as performance testing and usability testing and how to obtain the necessary requirements for these tasks

• Good knowledge of test design techniques and test methodologies, such as ISTQB® or TMap Next®

• Good knowledge and clear experience in introducing and integrating QA activities in a Solution Delivery Environment

• Must be a fast learner, proactive, and take initiative with minimal supervision while hitting deadlines

• Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement
