What is Solution Delivery at Robovision?

The Solution Delivery department is responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining state of the art AI solutions to our partners and B2B clients.

A solution is built up by the following building blocks:

• Standard Robovision platform applications

• (re)trainable AI modules that perform analysis and provide feedback on ongoing basis

• Software customization and integration

• Optical (cameras, lighting) and computational (edge devices, servers, cloud) IT infrastructure.

Why did we create this role?

We are reshaping our organization to adopt a DevOps mindset. To lead this effort, we are seeking a Head of Solution Engineering. You will bring technical leadership to the team, fostering a culture that values fast flow from development to deployment while safeguarding maintainability, upgradeability, security, and scalability.

Your mission is to establish the cultural norms, technical practices, and architecture that enables Robovision to achieve a seamless and scalable delivery process. In this role, you will:

• Enable teams: Act as a coach and enabler, equipping teams to adopt modern DevOps practices, automation tools, and best-in-class delivery methodologies.

• Embrace AI-driven tools (such as code generation, automated testing, and intelligent reviews) to reduce mundane work while maintaining strong engineering rigor.

• Collaborate across functions: Interface with Product Engineering, IT, and other engineering leads to align on architecture and technical practices.

• Focus on quality attributes: Advocate for and implement strategies that elevate not only functional requirements but also reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability in solution delivery.

• Drive sociotechnical excellence: Leverage frameworks like Domain-Driven Design and Team Topologies to optimize team dynamics and align technical architecture with business goals.

• Incorporate AI’s capabilities to expedite feedback loops and inform design decisions, acknowledging AI’s limitations and validating outputs through human expertise.

• Shape engineering culture: Foster a culture of continuous learning, shared ownership, and technical excellence within the Solution Delivery organization.

What will you do?

• Lead the technical evolution of the Solution Delivery organization, ensuring DevOps principles are integrated into every stage of the delivery lifecycle.

• Introduce and refine AI-augmented workflows that improve coding, testing, and deployment while being mindful that AI is a catalyst, not a crutch.

• Collaborate with the Head of Solution Delivery to balance functional delivery with non-functional requirements like scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement modern deployment pipelines that automate key processes.

• Serve as a technical mentor and coach, empowering teams to take ownership of their processes and solutions.

• Align with other engineering leaders on shared technical practices, architectural principles, and engineering standards across the organization.

• Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve delivery and operational performance. Evaluate AI-based solutions for potential impact on developer productivity and code quality, championing responsible adoption that complements manual expertise.

Who are you?

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in DevOps practices, automation, and modern software engineering workflows. This is a large domain and includes Linux fundamentals, Git and Version Control, Networking basics, scripting , CI/CD concepts, containerization, orchestration, cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, monitoring… Few people master all these skills but high-level understanding is a must, as well as a drive to continuously evolve in the domain.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, understanding where AI can expedite tasks (e.g., automated refactoring, code suggestions) and where human judgment remains crucial.

• Experience with sociotechnical frameworks like Domain-Driven Design and Team Topologies is a plus.

• Deep understanding of quality attributes and how to safeguard them, including reliability, scalability, maintainability, and security.

• Proven ability to coach and mentor teams toward technical excellence and shared ownership.

• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.

Cultural Leadership

• Strong advocate for the cultural and organizational shifts required to implement DevOps effectively.

• Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

• Skilled at guiding teams to incorporate AI experiments safely, with an emphasis on iterative learning and transparent result-sharing.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in complex software delivery environments.

• Familiarity with AI or machine vision applications is a plus.

• Knowledge of modern infrastructure and cloud-based systems.
