GHENT, BELGIUM, September 29, 2025—Robovision announced the appointment of Leon van de Pas as Chief Executive Officer and executive member of the Board.
Proven Leadership
A seasoned leader in scaling technology businesses, Leon brings more than three decades of experience driving global growth and transformation across industries including IoT, telecom, medical technology, lighting, automotive, geospatial intelligence, and e-mobility.
Over his career, Leon has led the launch and international expansion of nine disruptive technology ventures. At TeleAtlas (now Tomtom) he won the first mobile navigation solution ever in the GSM world with Nokia. At Philips, he spearheaded the global roll-out of Hue, the connected lighting platform that became the de facto global standard for smart homes. At HERE Technologies, he built strategic partnerships with Microsoft, Samsung, SAP, Neusoft, and Toyota (among others).

Deep International Experience
Having lived and worked in Europe, the United States, and Asia, Leon brings a deeply international perspective and a proven ability to align vision, product, and market execution. His leadership is characterized by building passionate teams, forging ecosystem partnerships, and scaling businesses into sustainable global players.
As CEO of Unifly, he guided the Belgian UAV traffic management pioneer from startup to scale-up, securing new funding and positioning the company for global expansion and thought leadership. Most recently, as SVP Home Charging at ABB E-mobility, he played a key role in redefining the strategic portfolio and driving its execution.

After spending his first weeks listening to teams across Robovision, Leon will meet with partners and customers in the United States and Europe to engage directly with their challenges and ambitions, ensuring Robovision’s technology continues to evolve in ways that drive their success.
