Purpose for this role
As an IT Support Coordinator, you will be a vital member of the IT operations team, blending hands-on technical expertise with leadership and coordination skills. You will oversee the delivery of IT services, coordinate the IT operations team, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the IT Manager.
In this role, you will ensure the proper functioning of our IT infrastructure, monitor service delivery, and implement best practices based on frameworks like ITIL. You'll also coach and support IT engineers, create dashboards, and track KPIs to enhance team performance and service quality.
What will you do?
Team Coordination
Oversee and coordinate the IT operations team to ensure smooth delivery of IT services.
Follow up on IT-related changes and ensure timely incident resolution.
Coach and mentor IT support engineers, fostering their growth and development.
Technical Leadership
Act as a hands-on problem solver for escalated IT issues.
Manage and maintain IT systems in collaboration with system engineers and external partners.
Support Google Workspace, device management, and access management processes.
Service Monitoring & Improvement
Implement and track IT service KPIs and create performance dashboards.
Assist the IT Manager in improving the maturity level of IT services.
Drive process optimization through ITSM tools such as Topdesk or other platforms.
Communication & Collaboration
Be the primary contact for IT escalations and incident coordination.
Collaborate with external partners to ensure alignment and support for IT operations.
Job Requirements
Who are you?
Experience & Skills
At least 5 years of experience as an IT Support Engineer.
Prior experience in a coordinator or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of IT frameworks like ITIL and ITSM tools such as Topdesk or equivalent.
Technical Proficiency
Knowledge of Windows OS, Linux (Ubuntu or similar distributions), and Mac OS is essential.
Familiarity with Google Workspace, networking concepts (DNS, DHCP), and device management.
Experience with cloud platforms (Google GCloud, Azure, AWS) is a plus.

Other Requirements
Reside within commuting distance from Ghent and possess a permanent work permit.
